Give your future student a head start with our Pre-Study Camp in the Netherlands — a unique programme that blends academic exploration, English practice, and cultural discovery.

Based in the Utrecht–Amsterdam region, students and teenagers visit leading universities such as VU Amsterdam, Leiden University, TU Delft, and Utrecht University. They take part in academic workshops, English lessons, and skill-building activities focused on motivation, presentation, and debate.

Beyond the classroom, the camp includes guided excursions to The Hague, Delft, Gouda, and iconic landmarks like the Van Gogh Museum and Zaanse Schans — offering a full picture of life, learning, and culture in Europe.

Supervised by our professional team and local coordinators, the program ensures safety, comfort, and high-quality learning throughout.

Dates in the period:
10.07 - 05.08.2025

Day 1 – Arrival s Amsterdam Orientation

  • Arrival at Schiphol and transfer by private coach

  • Breakfast-to-go on arrival (if early flight)

  • Welcome C (introduction to schedule, safety rules, Dutch student life overview)

  • Guided excursion to Zaanse Schans: windmills, Dutch heritage, sustainability

  • Early lunch or snack break after Zaanse Schans. Transportation to the accommodation by private coach. Rest.

·Evening session on Dutch academia.

  • Group dinner to end the day Dutch Style.

Description Day 1:

Begin your journey in the dynamic capital of Amsterdam. After arriving at Schiphol Airport, students will enjoy a warm welcome and orientation session, followed by a visit to Zaanse Schans—a picturesque open-air museum featuring iconic windmills, traditional Dutch houses, and sustainable crafts. This is a vivid introduction to Dutch innovation in environmental preservation and historical heritage. The day concludes with an introductory session into Dutch academia and admission criteria

Day 2 – International Governance

  • Morning Transfer to The Hague: the legal and peace capital of the world

  • Visit to International and Local Organizations: International Court of Justice, Dutch Parliament.

  • Lunch at Chinese-Style Restaurant

  • Visit Leiden University campuses in The Hague. Walk in the historic city centre/visit to Scheveningen. Transfer back to Amsterdam

  • Group dinner to end the day Chinese Style.

Description Day 2:

Explore The Hague, known globally as the city of peace and justice. Students will visit esteemed institutions such as the Peace Palace and the Dutch Parliament, gaining firsthand exposure to international law, climate justice, and multilateral governance. Visit to the Leiden University campus in The Hague. The experience

provides a foundation in how environmental sustainability is embedded into global legal frameworks, as well as first introduction into Dutch academia.

Day 3 – Academic Focus: Vrije Universiteit (VU)

  • Morning transfer to VU Amsterdam

  • Exploration of the Campuses of the VU.

  • Lunch at campus canteen (alternative nearby Chinese-style restaurant if canteen closed during summer)

  • Visit to a startup, QCA with startup founders.

  • Afternoon: mini-workshop

  • Group dinner to end the day Chinese Style.

Description Day 3:

Students enter the academic world through lectures and peer dialogue at one of the Netherlands’ leading universities. They begin to experience international classroom life.

Day 4 – English and Academic Workshop

  • Morning English Camp

  • Lunch at the VU Canteen (alternative nearby Chinese-style restaurant if canteen closed during summer)

  • Afternoon: Academic Debate Skills Preparation

  • Dinner

  • Evening: Academic Debate on a pressing social topic

Description Day 4: This day balances academic development with English practice.

Day 5 – Excursion to Gouda (Gouda or Keukenhof))

  • If between 20 March – 25 April → visit Keukenhof Gardens (world-renowned tulip park)

  • Otherwise → Travel to the city of Gouda

  • Excursion around the city of Gouda, visit the cheese market, city tour

  • Lunch in Gouda/Keukenhof. Transfer to base

  • Interactive workshop: "Crafting a succesful CV"

  • Dinner. Closing discussion and relaxed games in the evening.

Description Day 5:

Traditional Dutch towns show a slower, historic lifestyle with cheese, pottery, and market squares shaping cultural identity. The workshops sets the stage for the necessary skills to write a successful application.

Day 6 – Academic Heritage

  • Transfer to Leiden and visit to Leiden University

  • Academic lecture on ESG policy and public-sector engagement

  • Lunch at the Leiden Canteen (alternative nearby Chinese-style restaurant if canteen closed during summer)

  • Walk through Leiden University and historical city highlights

  • Transfer to hotel. Group dinner to end the day European Style.

Description Day 6:

In historic Leiden, home to one of Europe’s oldest universities, students will participate in a lecture on ESG policies and public-sector engagement at Leiden University. After lunch, a guided walk through the university’s historic campus and city center connects academic heritage with modern sustainability goals.

Day 7 – Visit TU Delft and Explore the City

  • Visit to the city of Delft. Old Town, Royal Delft Pottery Factory.

  • Lunch at Delft with harring, traditional raw Dutch fish.

  • Visit to TU Delft, campus exploration.

  • Transfer back to the hotel using a coach. Final group discussion and reflection session.

  • Group dinner to end the day Chinese Style.

 

Description Day 7

Explore the city deemed one of the most beautiful Dutch cities. Enjoy Dutch specialties, and explore the leading tech and engineering universitites of The Netherlads. The evening concludes with a group reflection session.

Day 8 – Academic Deep Dive and Intoduction to final presentations

  • Morning: Motivation Letter Writing.

  • Lunch.

  • Explanation of the final presentations. Students will have to present on a topic assigned to them by the teachers. Workshops: Public Speaking Skills and Presenting.

  • Group dinner to end the day Chinese Style.

Description Day 8

The focus of this day will be on ways to write a good Letter of Motivation for a University application, as well as introduce students to their final assignment – their academic presentations.

Day 9 – Amsterdam Culture and Academia

  • Morning: visit the University of Amsterdam, including the Roeterseiland Campus and the Humanitarian Campus

  • Lunch at Chinese Restaurant.

  • Visit Van Gogh Museum.

  • Evening excursion around Amsterdam city center, cultural landmarks, and canals.

  • Group dinner. Preparation for closing presentation

    Description Day 9

Amsterdam University, one of Europe’s oldest universities, gives students a sense of academic heritage while immersing them in centuries-old architecture and culture.

Day 10 – Utrecht

  • Visit to Utrecht University Campus.

  • Lunch at Chinese style restaurant.

  • Guided walk through Dom tower and canals

  • Transfer back to the hotel using a coach.

  • Closing Presentations evening. Final reflections and closing session.

Historic Utrecht blends medieval heritage with a vibrant university culture, offering students both history and a taste of modern student life

Day 11 – Departure

  • Leisure time in the morning

  • Transfer to Schiphol Airport for departure
